Ahead of Manchester United’s Super Sunday clash against Liverpool, we’ve got the latest thoughts from former Manchester United and France striker, Louis Saha.

The Frenchman previewed Sunday’s fixture between the two biggest British teams and the memories he has from the rivalry.

Louis Saha Exclusive: Manchester Utd vs Liverpool brings good memories, although frustrating as John O’Shea took my goal at Anfield!

“It is a frustrating one from a selfish point of view, but we usually won which helped. There was one occasion of mine at Anfield in front of the Kop, we had a free kick which was crossed in and I missed the ball by inches and John O’Shea scored the rebound which won us the match. This fixture massive for Manchester United fans. You have the opportunity to score the winner in a huge Derby game and I missed the ball! But we won the Premier League that seasonso I was okay with it.”

Louis Saha Exclusive: It would be fantastic to beat Liverpool, like a mini trophy win

It would be fantastic and mean a lot for the whole club. There are not many trophies that Unitedwill win this season, so if United were to win this weekend, it would feel like a mini trophy win in some ways. What Liverpool are currently doing is amazing, they are representing the Premier League in a great way. But if United were to win on Sunday, it would mean the world to a lot of people.

Louis Saha Exclusive: Manchester United and Liverpool is softer than when I was playing

It has changed. When I was playing in these games, you had some of the local boys like Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs who would do a lot of talking and build-up the week leading up to the game which would get everyone going and the attitude would change in training. Now, you have some of the local boys like Rashford and Greenwood, but they don’t do the same talking in the build-up to the gamesso it could be seen as the game being softer than it was when I was playing.”
